Quartz Glass
Quartz glass has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, excellent chemical stability, excellent electrical insulation, low and stable ultrasonic delay performance, the best performance in the transmission of ultraviolet spectrum and the transmission of visible light and near-infrared spectrum in optical application, and has higher mechanical properties than ordinary glass.The coefficient of linear expansion is extremely small, 1/10-1/20 of that of ordinary glass, and it has excellent resistance to thermal shock. Its heat resistance is very high, can working under the temperature of 1100 ~ 1200 ℃, short-term working even at 1400 ℃. Quartz glass is mainly used for laboratory equipment and refining equipment for special high-purity products. As it has a high spectral transmission, it is not damaged by radiation (other glasses darken when exposed to radiation).
